The Dark Lord’s return shakes Minerva’s world in an unexpected way.
As It Lasts" by the wonderful and talented queen_of_snapes is a bittersweet gem of a fic that views the relationship between Minerva and Severus from a late point-of-attack (which I always love). The characters are perfect--carefully and economically drawn--and the story is one of those that makes you go "Yes! It probably happened just like that." It manages to be both angsty (and we all know how much I do love angst) and hopeful at the same time--no mean feat. So thank you, queen_of_snapes! It was the perfect thing to lighten the post-holiday blues.
