I, “Squibstress,” am the sole author of this website. “Squibstress,” is (in case you haven’t figured it out) a pen name under which I write and talk about fiction–specifically fanfiction. Specifically, Harry Potter fanfiction. Weird, but there it is.
Because I am generally a coward, I have purchased a template from An Actual Attorney to create the long legal disclaimer, which you’re free to read below, but here are the basics in human language:
I created this website as a public service to provide entertainment and information on various topics, especially, writing, editing, and stuff related to Harry Potter. Although I try my best to get it all right, you shouldn’t take anything you read here as professional advice. Everything here is only my personal opinion.
I swear. As in, I use “salty” language. If the occasional f-bomb offends you, proceed at your own risk.
Also, some of my stories contain things some people prefer not to read about, like sex and violence. The page for each individual story notes the general rating of the story, and the description of each story on each site contains content warnings for certain elements like graphic violence, non-consensual sex, abuse, or self-harm.
I don’t warn specifically for homosexual relationships; if you’re bothered by The Gay, maybe skip stories that list a same-sex pairing in the description. I can’t promise that you won’t run across the mention of background same-sex pairings in any story, but if the mere mention of queerness is a problem for you, then you probably aren’t the audience for my work and should look elsewhere for your Harry Potter fanfiction needs.
Oh, and just so you know, I support trans people. JKR can go fuck herself.
